Looking for a nutritionist in Melbourne CBD? It might be time to look in a different direction. With an integrative nutrition and health consultation* at The Alignment Studio, you’ll gain valuable insight into how the fuel you’re feeding your body is impacting you, both physically and mentally.
Whether you’re tired, wired, stressed or struggling to lose weight, passionate nutritional therapist and Endless Vitality Founder Tara Doherty will take a holistic approach to improve your wellbeing. This could include anything from providing you with a personalised meal plan for healthy weight loss, to uncovering your food intolerances and allergies, improving your gut health, assessing your hormones, or working alongside our physios to help reduce your pain and inflammation.
With stress levels and chronic disease at an all-time high, we’re increasingly familiar with the concept of food as medicine. Within this philosophy is integrative nutrition, a field which examines the interconnected role food plays in managing physical and mental health. Taking a holistic view of wellbeing, it encompasses nutrition, movement, sleep, stress reduction and mindfulness.
Rather than just addressing the symptoms or ‘problem’, an integrative or holistic nutritionist addresses the root cause of health issues. Take for instance a client who is overweight and struggling to slim down. Rather than simply prescribing a strict, calorie-controlled diet, an integrative nutritional therapist will look to their hormonal and metabolic profile, as well as lifestyle factors such as stress. This enables them to see the full picture, and provide personalised, practical assistance to improve a client’s health and wellbeing outcomes.
During your consultation or program, our nutritional therapist may address issues including:
Regardless of your age or lifestyle, we believe nutrition coaching can take your wellbeing to the next level. Some of the potential benefits include:

Our nutritional therapist may recommend specialty testing to help construct a comprehensive picture of your health. All tests, however, are optional. The most frequently recommended specialty tests assess food intolerances, microbiome health, healthy weight DNA, allergies and hormonal imbalances. Clients will be referred to their GP for diagnosis and treatment should their tests return abnormal results.
I was referred to Tara by my orthopaedic specialist to address Seronegative arthritis, an inflammatory condition resulting in pain and impacting my mobility, exercise options, and general well-being. Tara is a talented and inspiring educator and practitioner, sharing her extensive, current, evidence based knowledge and supporting clients through genuine engagement. She is generous with her time, to gain a thorough appreciation of my needs. She promptly tailored an holistic intervention that has been so practical and workable. Planning is the key to success in a hectic life and I was able to use Tara’s fantastic recipes and documented action plan to ensure I was including the dietary magic required to achieve a healthy gut! I have since continued ‘eating the rainbow’, and incorporating Tara’s nutrition and well-being advice everyday, and I feel reborn. My digestion is settled, I have new found physical and mental energy, my joint pain is reduced and my mood has improved. I felt so supported by Tara’s ongoing check-ins, updates on interesting research, affirmations and all round encouragement. How lucky I was to be sent in her direction!
